On 04 July 2024, Alexey Borodin, Director General of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, and Zhang Hanhui, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation, had an official meeting.

The parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between the RCC and the PRC in the field of information, communications and communication technologies, as well as prospects and significant aspects of coordination of efforts of the PRC and the states of the region in the international arena, in particular, in the International Telecommunication Union.
