On January 23, 2024, a seminar on financial services for the CIS countries and Eastern Europe was held in videoconferencing format.

The seminar was attended by delegates from UPU member countries.

Representatives from the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications took part: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the leadership and staff of the RCC Executive Committee.

At the seminar, welcoming speeches were made by the Head of the Program for the European Region and the CIS of the UPU IB, Mario Gonzalez-Montiel, and the General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, Alexey Sergeevich Borodin.

At the seminar, representatives of the UPU IB Alexander Rodriguez and Marie Fourney made presentations on the legal framework (PPSA), the state of the network and trends, the structure of contributions, business development and mobile payments.

The corridor of interests of the countries of Eastern Europe and the CIS was also presented.

At the end of the seminar, representatives of the UPU IB thanked all participants for their connection and excellent work in the region.
