At the 59/29th joint meeting of the RCC Board of the CAs Heads and the Coordination Council of the CIS Member-States on Informatization at the RCC, which took place on 8 November in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), the issue "On the election of the RCC Executive Committee leadership" was considered.
According to the results of the voting on the election of the RCC Executive Committee leadership by correspondence, Alexey Borodin was elected Director General of the RCC Executive Committee for the period from 1 January 2024 to 1 January 2027.
Alexey Borodin, holding senior positions in Rostelecom and Russian Satellite Communications Company, was responsible for research in the field of new information and communication technologies, national and international standardization and development of new regulations, as well as actively participated in international legal protection of the interests of the Communications Administration of the Russian Federation (CA of Russia) in the field of electric and radio communications.
In different years he was a member of the RCC delegation to ITU high-level international events, in particular the World Conference on International Telecommunications (2012), Plenipotentiary Conferences (2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022), World Radiocommunication Conference (2019), World Telecommunication Standardization Assemblies (2012, 2016 and 2022) and World Telecommunication Development Conferences (2014, 2017 and 2022).
