On October 30, 2023, the opening meeting of the Postal Operations Council (POC) of the UPU took place using the virtual teleconference system of the International Bureau.

The meeting was attended by full members of the RCC Postal Operators Council - RUE Belpochta, as well as employees of the RCC Executive Committee.

The General Director of the UPU IB, Metoki Masahiko, and the Deputy General Director of the UPU IB, Marjan Osvald, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the POC of the UPU, Jean-Paul Forceville.

The meeting agenda included the following:

1. Report of the POC Management Committee on the meeting in May 2023;
2. Organization of the POC session 2023.2:

– Issues related to Commission 1;

– Issues related to Commission 2;

– Issues related to Commission 3;

– Questions relating to Commission 4.

3. Presentation on the quality integration plan;
4. Quality of Service Improvement Fund - Prioritization of General Fund projects and projects financed from the LDC Special Account;
5. Fourth Extraordinary Congress - Key results and implementation of decisions, including the development of draft terms of reference.

The Postal Operations Council (POC) will continue to operate until November 3, 2023.
