On August 28, 2023, the ITU Digital Transformation Forum was opened in the village of Bosteri, Issyk-Kul district, Issyk-Kul province, Kyrgyz Republic.

The participants of the Forum were welcomed by:

Zamirbek Kozhomuratov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic;

Natalia Mochu, Regional Director of the ITU Regional Office for the CIS Region;

Nurudin Mukhitdinov, General-Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications.

The Forum is aimed at enhancing the exchange of experience and strengthening regional cooperation on the preparation of national strategic documents in the field of digital development, on the issues of digital transformation management, digital regulation, capacity building for informed decision-making on topical issues of sectoral legislation on the basis of comparable statistical data.

The Forum will contribute to the implementation of the WTDC-22 CIS3 Regional Initiative "Creating a favorable legislative and regulatory environment to accelerate digital transformation".

The Forum will discuss issues of digital regulation, infrastructure development, statistics in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).
