A regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held on 20 May 2022, chaired by the Republic of Kazakhstan, through videoconferencing.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Muhammetguly Muhammedov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev – all participated in the meeting.

The participants of the meeting reviewed all the issues on the agenda and adopted 10 documents.

The meeting started with an exchange of views on current issues of economic cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States and on strengthening cooperation of the CIS countries in counteracting the sanctions policy. A number of proposals were made to further improve this work.

The meeting participants then heard information on the Plan of Priority Measures to Implement the Information Security Strategy of the Commonwealth of Independent States until 2030.

Nurudin Mukhitdinov – General-Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications made a speech on this issue. A relevant decision has been adopted.

The adoption of the Action Plan will allow to create a systematic basis for clarifying and improving the state policy on ensuring information security, as well as to provide conditions for developing measures adequate to challenges and threats to ensure information security.

The next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States is to be held in November in Nur-Sultan.
