On December 24, 2021, the 1st meeting of the Initiative (working) group on combating fraud (fraud) on telecommunication networks in the video conferencing mode was held.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the RCC Communications Administrations: the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of Azintelecom LLC, Aztelecom LLC, Beltelecom RUE, Kazakhtelecom JSC, JSC Kcell, Kar-Tel LLC, Rostelecom PJSC, Vimpelcom PJSC, Uzbektelecom JSC, as well as the management and employees of the RCC Executive Committee.
The agenda of the 1st joint meeting of the Initiative (Working) Group on Combating Fraud (Fraud) on Telecommunication Networks included the following issues:
- On the election of the Chairperson of the Initiative (Working) Group on Combating Fraud (Fraud) on Telecommunication Networks.
- On organizational issues related to the functioning of the Initiative (working) group for combating fraud (fraud) on telecommunication networks.
- On the measures taken in the countries of the RCC participants to combat fraud (fraud) on communication networks.
- On the results of interdepartmental consultations of the CIS member states on international information security.
- On the place, time and agenda of the 2nd meeting of the Initiative (working) group on combating fraud (fraud) on telecommunication networks.
During the discussion, the participants exchanged experience on the issue of measures taken in the countries of the RCC participants to combat fraud (fraud) in communication networks, discussed the current changes in the laws of the countries of the participants and noted that this issue is relevant and important.
Also, the information of the Deputy General-Director of the RCC Executive Committee Natalia Evgenievna Zorya on the results of interdepartmental consultations of the CIS Member-States on international information security was heard.
In conclusion, the members of the Action Group expressed gratitude to the RCC Executive Committee for organizing the event and expressed their hope for the possibility of holding the 2nd meeting of the Action (working) group on countering fraud (fraud) on telecommunication networks in person.
