The second meeting of the expert group to agree on the draft Plan of priority measures for the implementation of the Strategy for ensuring information security of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period up to 2030 (hereinafter referred to as the expert group) was held on July 8, 2021 at the office of the CIS Executive Committee in a hybrid format.

The meeting of the expert group was opened by Mikhail Evgenievich Myskin, Director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the CIS Executive Committee.

Zorya Natalia Evgenievna, Deputy General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications, was elected as the chairperson of the meeting.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the CIS Executive Committee and the RCC Executive Committee.

During the meeting, the draft Plan of Priority Measures for the Implementation of the Strategy for Ensuring Information Security of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period up to 2030 was considered, and comments and proposals submitted by the CIS Member States were discussed.

During the exchange of views, a number of clarifications were made to the document, including of an editorial nature, which were agreed upon.

As a result of the discussion, a draft of the Plan of Priority Actions for the Implementation of the Strategy for Ensuring Information Security of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period up to 2030, which was mainly revised taking into account the comments and proposals of the CIS member states and the discussion held, was approved.

The Protocol of the 2nd meeting of the expert group was also approved, which will be sent to all participants in the meeting and to the Governments that have signed the Strategy for ensuring information security of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period up to 2030.

In the future, the above documents will be considered by the supreme bodies of the CIS in accordance with the established procedure.
