On April 13, 2021, a joint 39/30th meeting of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation and the Working Group on work with ITU at the CCM took place in the videoconference mode.

The meeting was opened by the General Director of the RCC Executive Committee Mukhitdinov Nurudin Nasretdinovich.

Deputy Chairman of the RCC Commission for Coordination of International Cooperation Mokryagin Alexander Olegovich addressed the meeting participants with a welcoming speech.

In accordance with the appeal of the Communications Administration of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Working Group on work with ITU at the CCM was replaced by the representative of PJSC Rostelecom in Geneva, Alexey Sergeevich Borodin.

Representatives of the RCC Communications Administrations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan took part in the work of the joint 39/30th meeting of the RCC Commission for Coordination of International Cooperation and the Working Group on Work with ITU under the CCM , The Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Management and staff of the RCC Executive Committee.

The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union for the CIS Natalia Vyacheslavovna Mochu and the Program Coordinator of the ITU Regional Office for the CIS Region Farid Nakhli.

The agenda of the joint 39/30 meeting of the CCM and the ITU WG under the CCM included the following issues:

- On the replacement of the representative of the CA of the Russian Federation as Chairman of the Working Group on work with the International Telecommunication Union under the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation;

- On the preparation of the RCC CAs for the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2021 (WTDC-21) (November 7 - 19, 2021, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia);

- On the results of the 1st ITU Interregional Coordination Meeting for WTDC-21 (March 11, 2021, VKS);

- On the preparation of the RCC OP for the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2021;

- On the preparation of the RCC CAs for the Regional Preparatory Meeting for WTDC-21 (April 21-22, 2021, VKS);

- On updating the Regulation on the procedure for implementing regional initiatives aimed at developing telecommunications and ICT in the CIS countries and approved at the ITU WTDC;

- On the preparation of the RCC CAs for the ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly 2022 (WTSA-20) (March 1-9, 2022, Hyderabad, India);

- On the preparation of the RCC CAs for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in 2022 (PP-22);

- On the nomination of candidates for the positions of Chairman and Deputy Chairmen of the Council Working Group on Strategic and Financial Plans for 2024-2027;

- On the preparation of the RCC CAs for the 27th Congress of the Universal Postal Union;

- On the interaction of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communication with international and regional organizations in order to prepare for the ITU and UPU forums;

- On the prospects of the regional presence and coordination of the activities of the ITU Regional Office with the RCC;

- On the proposals of the RCC member countries for the conduct of research work;

- On the implementation of the Action Plan dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States;

- On the preparation of the RCC participants for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the RCC foundation;

- On the nomination of Mr. Ismailov R.R. for the post of Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for elections during the 2022 Plenipotentiary Conference;

- On the place, time and agenda of the joint 40/31st meeting of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation and the Working Group on work with ITU under the CCM.

The meeting was held in a constructive business atmosphere. Appropriate decisions were made on topical issues on the agenda.

Concluding the joint 39/30th meeting of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation and the Working Group on work with ITU under the CCM, the Chairman of the meeting Mokryagin Alexander Olegovich and the participants of the meeting thanked the RCC Executive Committee for the work done, and also wished everyone good health and success in implementation all decisions made.
