Today, April 24, marks the International Girls in ICT Day.

     The event, established by the Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 2010, emphasizes the importance of empowering all girls and women through ICT for their educational and socio-economic development.

     Today, the global celebration of International Girls in ICT Day, organized by the International Telecommunication Union, is jointly hosted by two regions: the Commonwealth of Independent States (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) and the Arab States (Nouakchott, Mauritania).
