Today, April 23, in Bishkek, within the framework of the ITU Regional Development Forum for the Commonwealth of Independent States region, the Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azamat Zhamangulov, and RCC Director General Alexey Borodin had their meeting.

     Alexey Borodin congratulated Azamat Zhamangulov on his appointment to such a high and responsible position and expressed hope for further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation of the RCC communications administrations on key issues of digital development.

     During the meeting the preparations and the most important items on the agenda of the 63/31st joint-meeting of the Board of the Communications Administrations Heads - members of the Commonwealth and the Coordinating Council of CIS Member-States on Informatization at the RCC, which will be held on May 21, 2025 in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, were also discussed, among which were noted, in particular:

- development of IT parks and their cooperation formats in the RCC Member-States;
- development of NGSS communication systems in the region;
- development, introduction and application of technologies and systems of Artificial Intelligence and meta-universes;
- formation of fair tariffs for roaming communication services in the RCC Member-States;
- countering fraud on communication networks;
- development of early warning systems in cases of natural and man-made disasters, etc.

     Special attention was paid to the draft Digital Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which is expected to be soon approved in the second reading by the Jogorku Kenesh (“Supreme Council”) of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Digital Code of the Kyrgyz Republic will contribute to building a legal framework for the regulation of social relations related to the use of digital technologies, and may also serve as a basis for the development of a model law for other RCC member states.
