From March 28 to 29, 2024, the International Economic Forum of the CIS Member States was held in Moscow (Russia) at the International Trade Center. Within the framework of the Forum, there were 21 sections with the participation of more than 2,000 people who discussed current topics of cooperation between the CIS member states in the economy, education, culture, logistics, customs, construction, industrial cooperation, migration policy, medicine, tourism, sustainable development and other areas.

The Forum was attended by the Director General of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, Alexey Borodin, he made a report at the section “The Role of Technical Regulation and ICT Standardization in the Integration Processes of the CIS”.

The section was moderated by the Executive Secretary of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification Vladimir Chernyak.

Deputy Secretary General of the CIS Denis Trefilov addressed the participants of this section with a greeting.

The following topics were discussed within this section:

- mechanisms for eliminating technical barriers in mutual trade of CIS Member-States;

- interstate standardization as a key tool for connecting the integration processes of the CIS and the EAEU;

- the role of interstate standardization in the development of international trade and economic cooperation;

- training and advanced training of specialists in the field of technical regulation, standardization and quality infrastructure in the CIS Member-States.
